The weather in the South of the uk has been terrible we’ve had flooding with constant rain meaning photo outings have been few and far between, I’ve used the time to do some planning to the up and coming Bristol photo walk, I’ve retraced my steps from December and made up a rough route starting at Mud Dock then leading into the city.

Note to self here: Either learn to use Plotaroute.com better or find an alternative as it was a right Faf to plot out then alter any mistakes.A big Thanks to my friend Tim Large for helping me around the route and guiding me in the direction I needed to go.It was great to have friends with me and some new faces from the communities it gave me confidence to step out of my comfort zone.I approach some cool looking people on the street and ask them whether I could take a portrait, they were all kind enough to agree, I got speaking to the skateboarder who was called Carlos Pizarro and he was from Portugal visiting the uk to compete in some competitions, I explained what I was doing and what the images would be used for, we exchanged Instagram details and later that evening I sent him over the image of him which he was more than happy with and shared it to his account. Here’s the image

I didn’t get the names of the other two people wich looking back I should of asked along with introducing myself other than saying I was Just a Photographer who thought they looked cool (Even I would’ve thought that this was a strange request ) Here are their images

This lead me on to think of an image I took last year, It was of two friends which seemed to be down on their luck sat on a bench I took the image and edited it but something didn’t sit right with me using it on my social media account, this lead me on to thinking I am documenting street life and showing a story so it should be expectable, this is coming from me knowing what the intent was but what would it look like to someone looking in not from a street photographic background. Here’s the image I’ve blurred their faces to keep them anonymous.

Let me know your thoughts in the comment, If your documenting street life is this a good representation of would you avoid doing it?
In the meantime here are a few more shots from the walk.

This photowalk experience has been fantastic and I am looking forward to organising others in the coming months In various locations, I would like to fit at least another 3 in.
